San Diego is an awesome place to celebrate Independence Day! With multiple firework shows taking place, you can really enjoy the beauty of this city from anywhere. Our favorite place to take in the light shows would have to be Downtown San Diego by the bay; seeing the fireworks reflection on the water is truly magnificent! Another amazing spot is located in the back of Torrey Pines high school, where the dog park is. If you hike past the playground, you can actually watch at least two different shows at once! One show from the Del Mar Fairgrounds and the other from Fairbanks ranch. Both of these spots get extremely crowded, so be sure to give you and your family ample time to set up and get comfortable before the show!
Now before the awesome fireworks shows, we are sure that the stress of hosting Independence Day parties is beginning. Remodel Work’s wants to give you some decoration ideas and tips so that decorating your house for the San Diego Fourth of July celebration is a breeze!
Lets start with the most important thing, food!! We are assuming that barbecuing will take place and we suggest either a BBQ pulled pork sandwich, BBQ ribs, BBQ bacon cheeseburger, or even a bacon wrapped hot dog. All of these food items will be a hot commodity at any Fourth of July party, Americans sure do love their barbecue!
Now following the meat, Fourth of July themed desserts are a must. These firecracker cupcakes (pictured left) would be an amazing dessert to serve, especially to children! If you click on the picture it will take you right to the easy to follow recipe. Another spirited dessert is the smore’s berries (pictured right). We know we will want s’more of these delicious treats even after the Fourth!
Moving on to decorations, the decorations should be just as festive as the food! Our personal few favorite decorations would have to be the hand painted american themed mason jars. This would be an easy and extremely creative detail to have at your party! Also a great way to keep all of the silverware organized, especially for an outdoor barbecue.
Another great decoration idea that we love is the hot dog food station! This would make any backyard spirited in an instant, and would be a big hit at the party! We also love how all of the commodities are labeled, to keep everything organized, just like the mason jars! You can also make this station your own, and can really put any type of food or dessert and it will make an awesome decoration.
Now if you are not feeling very crafty but still want an awesome decorated house, we have ideas for that as well. By simply placing red, white, and blue streamers in your backyard, it will go a long way! If you want to make this decoration stand out more, you can also add a detail of stringed lights as shown in the picture.
There are so many other good ideas that would light up any house for the fourth:
We hope that these tips, recipes, and decorations help you in your quest to have the best Fourth of July ever! Here at Remodel Works we wish everyone an amazing Independence Day!
